With the industry needing to find a safe alternative to existing corrosion inhibitors, which have been banned in the EU, the Swansea University Corrosion Research Group embarked on the challenge of finding a replacement. As a result of the team finding a mechanism of protection, Hexigone was created as an innovative spin-out company.
